Alpha Resources researches and compiles craft compensation data for five craft discipline categories based on the following benchmark positions:

Civil - Industrial Form Carpenter Journeyman
Mechanical - Industrial Pipefitter Journeyman
Combo Welder - Pipe Welder Journeyman (stick/tig)
Electrical - Industrial Electrician Journeyman
Heavy Equipment Operator - 100 ton+ Crane Operator

The identified wage values are summarized to define the "spread" of all available rates by discipline. Survey results are further narrowed by calculating the average competitive range by disicipline for the market area.
In many regions, our analysis includes the historical tracking of base wages plus per diem and incentive payments.
